This service of remembrance comes just in time for the holidays which can be especially difficult for anyone who has experienced loss, whether recently or in times past. We hope you will join us as we sing, pray, light candles, read scripture and remember that Christ is our Light in the deepest darkness. This service is open to everyone. We will enjoy a meal together beginning at 4:45 p.m. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy or present for a child in need in the Wiregrass area. Join us as we celebrate “decking the halls” of God’s Sanctuary. Children will help decorate the tree, families will process in with greenery, candles and evergreens, as we learn about bringing light and beauty to our surroundings as we celebrate the season of Christ’s birth. Join the FUMC pastors, Chancel Choir, Westminster Handbell Choir, Children’s Choirs and Chimes, and guest instrumentalists from the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra for an evening of joyful worship as we journey to Bethlehem through scripture and music. Then retire to the parlor to meet and greet the musicians, fellowship with our community, and partake of tasty treats.
